Supercritical CO2 Extraction Machine Working Principle and Characteristics

Supercritical fluid extraction is a new separation technology in modern chemical separation. Supercritical fluid refers to fluid in the thermodynamic state which above the critical point (PC, PT). The critical point is the state where distinct gas and liquid phases do not exist.

Supercritical fluid has its unique physical and chemical properties, it is almost as dense as liquid and as viscosity as gas. It can effuse through solids like a gas, and dissolve materials like a liquid. Many characteristics, like high diffusion coefficient, low viscosity and large dissolvability .etc, prompt good separation effect.

Supercritical extraction means that the solvent and extracted substances in the extraction kettle, under high pressure and appropriate temperature, the solvent diffuses into the kettle, and change the operating conditions to separate the dissolved substance.

Supercritical CO2 extraction device takes CO2 as the solvent, which has many characteristics:

         1.     Wide operating range and easy to adjust.

         2.     By controlling pressure and temperature, extract the required ingredients.
